This afternoon 20 leading technology and energy companies are announcing $92 billion of investments in Pennsylvania. If you want, we could get them up. Let's talk to them right there. This is a really triumphant day for the people of the Commonwealth and for the United States of America. Redoing things nobody ever thought possible, today's commitments are ensuring that the future is going to be designed, built, and made in Pennsylvania, right here in Pittsburgh, and right here in the United States of America.
That is President Trump doing what he does best in Pittsburgh, getting more money into America. The inaugural AI Energy Summit announcing more than $90 billion in AI and energy investment for the Keystone State. Top technology and energy executives were there supporting their own investments for the future of America's digital space. The world cloud computing company CoreWeave announced a $6 billion investment for a data center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The CEO of CoreWeave, Mike Intrator, your company has been on fire. Congratulations to you. Tell me about yesterday and this exciting development.
Yesterday was amazing. Saturday McCormick nailed it at the start of the summit and he said Trump was going to catalyze a moment. I really think that was the perfect word for what happened. Looking around the room, seeing the executives, watching the collective group make these commitments to doing business in the Commonwealth and continue to build the energy infrastructure, the data center infrastructure, and computing infrastructure to keep the aspirations at the forefront of what needs to be.
Look at these companies that made investments: Brookfield, Capital Power, Energy, Energy Capital Partners, Google, Meta, GE Vernova, you, and Outscore. We've got $9 billion of Core Scientific and announced a $6 billion investment to develop a 300-megawatt data center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Tell us what you are trying to do and what the Core Scientific deal does for you.
We have been busy. The Core Scientific acquisition, the announcement of the investment in the Lancaster facility, and a few other facilities that we are investing in building, it's an articulation of our strategy to take more control over the physical asset and the vertical integration of the company. We are moving up the stack. Earlier this year we bought Weights & Biases, which gives us software capacity towards the customer in terms of helping them run experiments and understand what is happening inside of the experiments and the data set. Acquiring companies like Core Scientific and building data centers allows us to vertically integrate down into the physical data center infrastructure that is required to house the supercomputers that all of this depends on. I hope the strategy is becoming clear. No one piece of this is the answer, but when you put it all together, what you see is a company that is going to be able to participate in every single step along the way to ensure efficient and effective delivery of that computer. At the end of the day, that's a piece that matters. Our clients depend upon us for that, and without that, we're really not going to be serving the purposes of this corner of this industry.
That's what I want to ask you. This moment of time that we are in with the compute demand because of AI and quantum and the need for data centers. How do you characterize or assess this moment in time that we are at right now?
