20:16And the people of the village, eh, young men from Nyeri, where are you, where are you, in the area?
We are with PS Jacob Fikirini. We are with PS Patrick Jacob Fikirini. He is PS in charge of youth. We have PS Patrick Lemi, with whom we work in the Ministry in charge of Cooperatives, and we have PS Alex Washira, who is in charge of energy. We have PS Mary Mudhoni who is from public health. We are with PS Dr. Caroline Karugu of East African affairs. We have PS Anu Wang'ombe in charge of the event. We are with PS Elijah Mwangi. I hope you are standing. Okay. Elijah Mwangi on sports issues. We have PS Shadrak Mwadime who is in labor. We have PS Engineer Park for road issues. We have PS Charles Hinga who is in charge of housing matters. We have PS Mariru who is in charge of defense matters. Thank you very much. We have leaders who hold various high government positions. We are with all of you, just stand up, all members and CEOs, especially those coming from this region. Stay where you are, just stay where you are. All the board members, chairs, if you are here, the CEOs who are around, thank you very much. President, before I say one thing to encourage our youth, let me invite the young PS Jacobo, I think I should just give him a minute. As a young man, I know he has something to say to our youth today. PS Fikirini.
Young people, power, power! Young people, woza, woza, woza! Top shot, you! Thank you very much. My name is Fikirini Jacobs, a young man, and I am the youth secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports led by Minister Salim Mvuria in this administration of the honorable Dr. William Ruto. First of all, Your Excellency, I want to thank you very much for this stellar project in the sense of National Youth Opportunities Advancement. It is a project unlike any other that has come at a time when the youth of the Kenyan nation are very eager to develop themselves. Your Excellency, for 62 years now since Kenya gained independence, many projects that were in place in the nation of Kenya have been projects that first asked young people if they had studied to what level, and then, moving forward in their lives, they were asking about their skills. But for the first time through your intervention, Your Excellency, we now have a star project that looks at young people regardless of whether they studied or not, so that they can be helped to change their lives and the lives of their communities. Your Excellency, 70 young people in every ward multiplied by 50,000 is 3.5 million in every ward of Kenya. This is an economy that is now being developed by our youth, the nation of Kenya, Excellency. And since youth are the pillar of the nation, this way of holding the youth and leading them in the current way of handling the Kenyan national economy is the safest guarantee that our country is heading in the right direction. And I would like to ask my fellow young people that the Kenyan constitution is very good and article 55 talks about our rights as young people. That's how we should be organized, held together and moving forward. But that constitution also has rights and responsibilities. It is right for the government to bring you such words. But it is also your responsibility to step up and seize this opportunity to develop yourself. There are many examples of people who started at the bottom like you and have progressed. Now we have the opportunity. Let it be our responsibility to develop ourselves. Thank you very much.
Wow. Wow. Thank you. Thank you, PS. Think about it, young people, today is that day. So, my only will is one. I know today after the president did that thing, many of you are now appearing on TV and are already being given names. There are those who are starting to call it a joke. Hey, are there those of you who are called bazenga? There are those of you who are called permanent. What? There are names, even those you will start calling today, honorable. How are you, sir? Isn't that just you? And there are those who will start calling you names like 'beb' on TV, right? If someone hasn't called you babe today, they shouldn't call you babe, right? If he was calling you Edward, just tell him, 'I'm fine with that, Edward, aren't I?' Because of this money, you should do business and this money is just the key that opens the house of opportunities for you. Now from here we are seeing billionaires among you. We are seeing industrialists among you. Isn't that right? It's not just us seeing them moving forward, it's just us starting. So today is your day with our president because you also know that he is a businessman and we wanted him to come and speak and encourage you on how to run your business, get up and move forward if you are struggling. We at the ministry will be there to help you. If you fall, we will walk and you will hold our hand. Thank you very much for deciding to put your phone to good use. Some people thought this was a scam, but it wasn't. So thank you very much. We love you and may God bless you. Thank you, therefore, President, allow me to humbly call on the leader of the majority, the honorable Kimani Shungwa, to come and take the floor as he continues the program forward. Thank you.
