Of course, the situation in the region causes concerns from both our countries. We would like to see this conflict over as soon as possible. And yesterday, President Trump gave a speech about this. As for us, we are ready to do everything to bring the situation back to normal. And in this regard, it's very important to listen to your estimates, Egypt's estimates, because it's a key country in the Middle East. Esteemed Minister, we are very glad to see you in Moscow.
Recently, the day before yesterday, I had the pleasure of having a conversation with the president of Egypt, President Alisi, and we discussed both our bilateral relations and matters related to the regional agenda. And it is important for us to maintain permanent contact. And I know that you have a very busy schedule, that you're going to have talks with your Russian counterpart, with Minister Lavrov, with other top officials from Russia, and it will benefit our bilateral relations. We have a lot of good plans, and a lot of these plans are being implemented as we speak. And we continue with the construction of the nuclear power plant and the industrial zone. More than 10 companies, major Russian companies, said that they are willing to work in this zone, and there are a lot of other things. We can discuss the establishment of the grain hub or an energy hub. A lot of interesting ideas can be floated. And this, of course, the situation in the region causes concerns from both our countries. We would like to see this conflict over as soon as possible. And yesterday, President Trump gave a speech about this. And as for us, we are ready to do everything to bring the situation back to normal. And in this regard, it's very important to listen to your estimates, Egypt's estimates, because it's a key country in the Middle East.

Is Vladimir Putin helping Donald Trump exit the Iran conflict? Russia's foreign intelligence chief has dropped a bombshell on Moscow's purported behind-the-scenes actions in the ongoing war. The move comes after multiple reports claimed that Russia helped Iran with technology and intelligence that helped Tehran carry out attacks in the region. According to Reuters, Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia's SVR, Foreign Intelligence Service, claimed that the agency was in touch with its American counterpart, the Central Intelligence Agency, about the situation in Iran. Naryshkin's statement comes amid accusations that Russia allegedly provided Iran with intelligence and technical know-how to carry out attacks across the region. According to a CNN report, Moscow also helped Tehran with advanced drone tactics from its war in Ukraine to hit US and Gulf nation targets in the Middle East. CNN had reported that Russia shared imagery from its sophisticated network of overhead satellites with Iran, but it was unclear what Moscow was getting in return for its support.

Thanks. The president said yesterday that President Putin told him he wanted to be helpful in the Middle East. The Kremlin put out a statement where Putin said, quote, 'I would like to reaffirm our unwavering support for Tehran and our solidarity with Iranian friends.' How does the president think that Russia could be helpful if not helping Iran? And did the president push Putin on Russia sharing intelligence with Iran in this war?

The president and his special envoy Witkoff have both said that, of course, they've sent a message to Russia that if that was taking place, it's not something they would be happy with, and they hope that it is not taking place. As for further details about the discussions between these two leaders, I'll leave it to the president to divulge any more of that conversation. But he did confirm it yesterday and provided you with a little bit of the background in his view.
