Rob Katz, executive chairman of Vail Resorts, returned as CEO in 2025 and gave his first podcast interview since that announcement on The Storm Skiing Podcast. In the interview, he addressed criticism of the company's performance, stating that the company's overall performance was worse than the industry and that was "unacceptable." He defended the Epic Pass pricing model, saying that when people suggest raising prices to reduce crowding, he asks, "Who shouldn't be able to ski? Who are you trying to kick out of the sport?"
