Franz Von Holzhausen, Tesla's chief designer, participated in a remote interview at the Tesla Takeover event in Flachau, Austria on June 5, 2026. During the interview, he discussed the discontinuation of the Model S and Model X, stating that the company had handed over the last vehicles two weeks prior, ending 14 years of production. He described the Model S as looking "extremely modern and relevant on the road today." Von Holzhausen also commented on the Cybertruck, calling it "the most efficient vehicle ever designed" and stating that it would provide low-cost mobility and be central to the future of autonomy. Regarding upcoming products, Von Holzhausen said the Roadster is "coming" and suggested it would address various points raised about future vehicles, adding that it is "going to be one of those really unique products that I think is going to blow people away." He also spoke about Tesla's interior design philosophy, emphasizing the infotainment system as the "hero of the interior" and noting that features like Dog Mode and "fart on command" bring "levity" to the vehicle experience.
