“We're having that conversation right now. Actually, that's one of the things we've leaned into this year as we just launch it. We said, 'Okay, let's hold it to a couple of models because the plumbing has to be routed for it.' We know that Dutch Star owner is kind of the I'll call it the sweet spot for something like this and so sooner or later it will be available for that.”
On , Casey Tubman, President of Newmar Corporation at WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES, spoke about product features during 2027 Newmar Essex Tour with the President of Newmar Casey Tubman! on RVing with Andrew Steele.
Casey Tubman, president of Newmar Corporation, appeared in a June 2026 video tour of the 2027 Newmar Essex motor coach. During the tour, Tubman discussed the company's increased focus on customization, stating that Newmar has "cranked up our customization for folks inside, outside, and even floor planning." He described the company's approach as being a "yes guy" when it comes to customer requests, adding, "if we can't do exactly what's asked, how close can we get to it?" Tubman also highlighted a new patriotic-themed "artisan one of one" paint scheme created for America's 250th anniversary. Tubman addressed the availability of a new feature, noting that the company had launched it on a couple of models because "the plumbing has to be routed for it," and suggested the Dutch Star model would be the "sweet spot" for the feature in the future. He also discussed Newmar's resale value, advising potential buyers to consider "how long are you going to use it for? And then what is it going to be worth in four or five years?" adding that "Newmar resale value commands a premium." Tubman mentioned that the company attends two public shows annually: the Hershey show in Pennsylvania in September and the Tampa show in Florida in January.
