In a September 2024 interview, Saia President and CEO Fritz Holzgrefe discussed the company's growth and market conditions. He stated that no single customer represents more than 5% of Saia's business and noted that retail business has increased relative to industrial or manufacturing customers. Holzgrefe said the company opened 12 facilities since the beginning of 2023 and acquired 28 facilities following Yellow's exit from the market, describing the opportunity as "once in a lifetime."
