Steve Nugent, Mannatech's Chief Science Officer, discussed gut health, emphasizing its impact on immune and brain health. He cited a 62% global prevalence of gut problems, noting they occur twice as often in women. Nugent highlighted regional statistics, including 38.67% of Australians, over 55% of New Zealanders, and 86% of Europeans reporting symptoms. He projected the global probiotic supplement market to grow from $12.5 billion in 2025 to over $24 billion by 2031, at a 12% annual rate. Nugent identified causes of probiotic imbalance: gluten, sugar, stress, alcohol, and antibiotics. He explained the gut-brain connection via GABA and the vagus nerve, and promoted Mannatech's GI ProBalance, a synbiotic with eight strains and 11 patents, noting its potential weight loss support through Lactobacillus rhamnosus. He recommended combining it with Ambrotose and ManaPol for optimal gut health.

Good morning everybody and welcome to this morning's call. And my name, for those of you that don't know me, is Sinead Pollock and I am the general manager of Mannatech here in Australasia, which means we look after Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. This is our monthly health, wealth and Dr. Nugent call. It is our favorite call. We say this all the time, but it truly is. Dr. Steve Nugent is Mannatech's Chief Science Officer and he has more than 40 years of experience in the area of integrative medicine. Dr. Nugent has tested more than 6,000 dietary supplement products. He has formulated more than 100 and he is internationally recognized as an expert in his field. Dr. Nugent has also been teaching doctors for more than 30 years. And I've said he's our favorite, he's also the most requested speaker worldwide. Now, Dr. Nugent has earned multiple degrees and he has graduated with top honors, no surprise there, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. And his areas of studies include integrative medicine, health and wellness psychology, leadership psychology, organizational psychology, neuropsychology, biological anthropology, nutrition science and business administration. And if you're a long-term watcher of these calls, I'm getting better at all of these. They're not the tongue twisters they used to be. Dr. Nugent has served as the president of the International Association of Complementary Medicine and he is the president emeritus of the American Naturopathic Medical Association. He's also a professional member of the American College of Nutrition. In 2007, Dr. Nugent was awarded the Servants Heart Award by Mannatech Associates and I always say they would give it to him every year if they could. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He has served his country with honor as a United States Marine. And very recently has moved to Florida. So, I know he loves the sun, the sunshine, and the humidity that Florida brings. So, good morning, Dr. Nugent, and welcome to our call.

Now, Dr. Nugent, this morning we're talking all things gut health, and we know how important that is. So, I'm just going to let you take that away.
