This year, Xiaomi has once again made it to the Fortune Global 500 list, ranking 232nd, an advance of 65 places from that of last year. Guided by the "Human x Car x Home" smart ecosystem strategy, Xiaomi spans mobile phones, automobiles, and home appliances, delivering exceptional product experiences and services to users worldwide. Upholding our ironclad principle of technology as a foundation, we keep ramping up investment in core technology R&D. Over the past five years, on core technology R&D, we have invested 105.5 billion RMB. For the next five years, our projected R&D investment will exceed 200 billion RMB.
Chips are a key priority for Xiaomi's R&D investment—the most important one. Now, let me first update you on the latest progress of our X-Ring chips. On August 24th, we hosted the X-Ring chip technical briefing. At the briefing, Zhu Dan, in charge of the chip business, hosted the briefing and unveiled three self-developed chips in one go. Together, they form the AI computing foundation for Xiaomi's full-scenario ecosystem, delivering major breakthroughs across multiple core chip technologies. Let me give you a brief introduction. First one: XR03, Xiaomi's first-ever AI flagship SoC. It packs 24 billion transistors, a 26% increase in the transistor count over the previous generation. It's built on a cutting-edge 3-nanometer process. The die area reaches 133 square millimeters. Our last generation chip scored over 3 million points on AnTuTu. How did this new chip perform? It reached 5.22 million points, far outperforming its predecessor. It is currently the most powerful mobile processor available.
A couple of days ago, AnTuTu upgraded to version 12, and we hit 5.61 million points. Now, let's take a look at the CPU first. It features a 10-core all-big-core architecture, delivering a multi-core score of over 15,000 points—industry-leading and 60% higher than the prior generation. Most importantly, you know, it's always challenging to achieve so much massive performance gain. Usually, the margin of improvement is around 15%, but this time around we have improved it by 60%. Most importantly, while enhancing performance, power consumption drops by 25% under medium to low loads, delivering stronger performance with better-managed energy efficiency. Let's take a look at the GPU. The GPU is a brand-new 16-core GPU with an 85% performance jump while power consumption falls by 64%, marking a cross-generational leap.
And memory is updated to LPDDR6, boosting data bandwidth by 48%. XR03 is the industry's first mobile SoC to support LPDDR6. Another important metric is memory access latency. In accessing memory, that has been reduced to 82 nanoseconds, outperforming the Apple A19 Pro. There is a lot of innovation behind this gain. For example, we've adopted a state-of-the-art top metal routing technology inside the chip; we have built data overpasses, cutting latency by 15 nanoseconds. The NPU is deeply optimized for LLMs. It delivers 200 TOPS tensor compute performance, while vector compute performance surges by 6.8-fold to 3.13 teraflops. Talking about memory ops optimized for Xiaomi's custom 3-billion-parameter, 5-bit quantized on-device memory model, first-token latency is reduced by 40%, and the overall inference speed improves by 45%. For us, AI capability is not only about a powerful standalone NPU; every key compute block across the SoC must be AI-enabled. We adopted an all-in AI architecture. The CPU integrates acceleration units, the GPU embeds an NX neural processing unit, and the entire SoC is empowered with full-spectrum, powerful AI horsepower. That's X-Ring 03. Just how powerful is it? How good is the experience? Let's look at comments provided by the media.
Now comes our second one: X-Ring O100, a high-bandwidth AI accelerator chip. The O100 also delivers a world-first innovation. It is the world's first 6-nanometer wafer-level 3D stacking AI accelerator chip. What do we mean by wafer-level 3D stacking? Using wafer-on-wafer technology, multiple wafers are aligned and bonded with ultra-high precision. Moving beyond planar routing to vertical through-wafer interconnection, it breaks the memory wall and enables an advanced near-memory compute architecture based on state-of-the-art hybrid bonding technology. It eliminates conventional micro-bump structures. The density of vertical physical interconnects is dramatically boosted to more than 2,858 million channels. It delivers an ultra-high bandwidth of 1.22 terabytes per second, 16 times that of today's flagship smartphones. With tremendous bandwidth like this, what happens when XR03 and XR O100 work in tandem on our prototype platform? The 03 plus O100 combination achieves local AI inference speeds up to 330 tokens per second. Please take a look at the screen. It's lightning fast.
The third one is X-Ring D100, China's first 3-nanometer high-computing-power intelligent drive chip. It features a 20-core high-performance CPU and a 16-core high-throughput NPU. It supports up to 160 gigabytes of unified memory, enabling local deployment of ultra-large models with up to 200 billion parameters. Therefore, its on-device computing power is formidable. So, on our prototype, we have achieved three-chip synergistic operation: 03 plus O100 plus D100, fully unlocking systemwide AI capabilities. On this prototype system, we can run a 120-billion-parameter model and a 3-billion-parameter model locally at the same time, with flexible switching between fast-path and slow-path systems. Please take a look at the demo. All three chips have completed R&D and test validation. Together, they mark our major technical breakthroughs across three key dimensions: high energy efficiency, high bandwidth, and high computing power. Standing here today, I'm so excited and sincerely proud of the entire X-Ring team.
What we have achieved is truly remarkable, and we need to be sober-minded that delivering an SoC is so challenging. Xiaomi is still a second mover. It takes ongoing innovation and catching up. But we firmly believe as long as we have started, we are on the path to win. From day one when we decided to develop our own chips, we were prepared for the long haul. We said that it would take us 10 years to invest 50 billion RMB in R&D of chips over 10 years. As of today, our cumulative investment has topped 21 billion. Thanks to our wonderful team and their real commitment and investment, we have scored one success after the other. X-Ring 03 has officially gone into commercial deployment. The other two chips will go into commercial deployment in the first half of next year. Now let me share with you two flagship products built on top of XR03 so as to realize how powerful it is. First one: Xiaomi MIX Fold, our latest-generation foldable smartphone.
Well, we have been working on foldables for five to six years, releasing four large book-style foldables and two compact flip-style foldables over the past several years. So one question has kept topping our mind: compact flip-style foldables are stylish, light, and highly portable, while large ones deliver bigger screens and a far more immersive view. So can we combine the strengths of both in terms of form factors, proportions, and portability? Our answer is the medium fold solution: perfectly balanced in size and aspect ratio, compact when closed, generously large when unfolded. The project was initiated two years ago with 20 months of intensive development. This is Xiaomi's most premium phone to date. Now, please take a look at the video.
Is it beautiful? The outer display measures 5.38 inches, while the inner display measures 7.58 inches. Both feature a square root 2 to 1 aspect ratio. That's the same proportion as standard paper. An A4 sheet has a square root 2 to 1 aspect ratio. Folded in half, you get A5, and the aspect ratio remains square root 2 to 1. It's ideal for displaying all kinds of content and naturally aligns with the way we read in everyday life. Both the inner and outer displays feature our super pixel technology. They deliver clarity comparable to a 2K display while consuming less power than a 1.5K display. The outer display features LIPO ultra-thin bezels on all four sides. The inner display uses Pol-less technology. So these two displays both employ the most advanced technologies. Folded up, it's incredibly compact. You can see that the thickness is just 5.02 millimeters on each side and only 10.68 millimeters when folded, and it weighs just 219 grams. That's significantly lighter than an iPhone Pro Max. It's about the same size as a passport, a card holder, or a compact point-and-shoot camera. It slips easily into your pocket or a small everyday bag.
How does it feel when you use it? It's also incredibly comfortable to use one-handed. Your thumb can cover most of the display and easily reach the bottom or the top to pull down the control center. Despite its compact size, the display area is remarkably large. Compared with the 6.9-inch iPhone Pro Max, it can display more characters on a single line, which better matches the way our eyes naturally read horizontally. Typing is also extremely comfortable. The keyboard is 8% wider than that of a 6.9-inch large-screen candy bar phone; that gives you more room to type and reduces accidental touches. You can see that apps like Weibo or other popular apps all look really good on this display. It's refined, it's elegant. We designed the phone with ultra-thin four-sided bezels and an ultra-elliptical body with generous rounded corners. The fully flat and wraparound metal frame features a clean symmetrical layout with the speakers, USB-C port, and antenna bands all centered. Even the minimalist racetrack-shaped camera decal is perfectly centered with finely printed Leica camera specifications. Every detail has been carefully crafted.
Red is one of the trend colors for this fall and winter. Its inspiration comes from ripe berries in the autumn mountains. It's a highly saturated, sophisticated color that blends a warm red-brown base. It's understated and restrained, yet makes a powerful visual statement. We invited several Xiaohongshu creators, content creators, to take some hands-on photos with the actual phone. Doesn't it look incredibly premium? The second color is warm gold white. This is not simply pure white; we've incorporated a champagne gold base, creating a soft, elegant look without sacrificing a sense of luxury. Another color is black—a matte frosted finish with a subtle gunmetal gray sheen, understated and effortlessly versatile. All three colors look absolutely premium for such a compact phone.
The inner display is surprisingly large. At 7.58 inches, it's essentially a compact tablet you can actually use every day. Compared with traditional large foldables, the overall dimensions are slightly smaller, but when it comes to the actual usable display area, it can be even larger. Take a closer look. For 3:2 photos taken by cameras, you can see there is a lot of waste on black frames; the effective content area is increased by 20%. For the most common 16:9 long-form videos, the black bars are significantly narrower; the effective content area is increased by 15%. And for short-form vertical video, the larger display doesn't just give you more screen real estate—it gives you a better, more immersive experience. That's because the unique square root 2 to 1 paper-like aspect ratio maximizes the effective area available for content. It's a Dolby Cinema in your pocket, it's a game console in your pocket, and an e-reader in your pocket. With the same proportions as a book, everything simply looks more natural and comfortable.
We've completely redesigned multitasking to make better use of the large screen. Let's take a look. With three apps side by side, you can plan a trip, check travel guides, and map out your route all at the same time. It's essentially like having three candy bar phones side by side. You can even have up to six apps running side by side, so you can check hotels, book flights, and manage your itinerary simultaneously. And you can even add another floating window for your WeChat chat. For example, after choosing a hotel, you can send it to your travel companions and discuss it together. Here's another AI feature: Super Inspiration Ball. Drag it anywhere on the screen, point it at whatever you want, and ask a question. For example, "Tell me about this attraction." See somewhere interesting, drag the ball onto the name, and with a single sentence, it can give you directions. You can also edit photos with a single sentence. For example, "Change my cloak into red color." It's quite convenient. Isn't that incredibly convenient? This phone is particularly well-suited to business professionals who spend a lot of time viewing PPTs and documents on a large screen. The Xiaomi MIX Fold features an advanced foldable architecture and our latest-generation Xiaomi Dragon Bone hinge. Its innovative three-stage linkage mechanism creates the most natural teardrop shape for the inner display, while the hinge provides full-contact protection for the inner screen. For the first time, we're using a high-strength 7-series aluminum alloy for the middle frame. Both the front and back are protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0. The outer display also uses ion implantation strengthening technology, further improving durability. Speaking of which, we know that with foldable phones, the biggest question everyone asks is: how reliable is it? So our goal was to bring reliability up to the level of a conventional candy bar phone. And that, of course, is quite difficult.
The first step was obvious: we had to test every possible drop orientation to identify the weak points. We used a simulation system to conduct comprehensive drop simulations. First, for conventional drops, we simulated 253 angles across the four corners and six faces. We tested three states—folded, unfolded, and hovering—across all three X, Y, and Z axes. We ran a simulation every 10 degrees, covering a total of 12,184 angles, and we identified 178 high-risk angles. Then, with these findings, we brought each of them into the real world for physical validation. To better validate it, we brought in one of the industry's leading 3D motion capture systems. Two high-speed cameras can capture 1 million frames per second. Even a tiny deformation of just 0.01 millimeters as the phone hits the ground can be captured in precise detail. These are actual images captured by the high-speed cameras at 1 million frames per second. So at the precise moment the phone falls and impacts the ground, even microscopic deformations that are virtually invisible to the naked eye are clearly recorded. Let's take a closer look.
Then we conducted more than 80,000 drop tests and dropped more than 1,500 devices. Seeing the remains of engineering prototypes worth tens of millions of RMB after all those drops, doesn't it hurt a little bit? I asked them, "How many did you actually break?" But to build a truly great product, every bit of that investment is worth it. In the end, we optimized 492 aspects of the design. So with this generation of foldable phone, its performance has been greatly improved. Among them, there were two key technological innovations that I'd like to share with you. The first one is the dual-layer UTG ultra-thin glass. This is the industry's first dual-layer UTG solution to enter mass production. UTG stands for ultra-thin glass. In order to make the display flatter, we used this kind of technology, and we increased the thickness of the UTG ultra-thin glass to 50 micrometers. By doing so, we found the perfect thickness and improved durability by 175%. To further strengthen the display, we added another layer of 30-micrometer UTG ultra-thin glass, increasing strength by another 29%. With two layers of glass, the display is significantly more resilient when subjected to impact from drops.
Second, we improved the touch layer of the display. Previous generations of foldables used extremely thin, rigid materials for the touch layer. When the phone was dropped, a localized impact could easily damage the layer, potentially causing the screen defect everyone worries about most: black spots on the display. This time, we upgraded to a new organic flexible material. Its elongation capability has increased by six times, giving it significantly greater impact resistance. At the same time, we systematically optimized the entire structure, including the surface protective layer, inner layer material, support plate, and other components. As a result, overall reliability has improved dramatically. Its drop resistance is now on par with conventional candy bar phones. The inner display's resistance to sharp object impact has improved by 58%. The drop height for heavy steel ball impacts has increased by 14%, and the overall device drop height has ultimately reached the level of conventional phones. Quite impressive. There's a second question everyone asks about: what about the crease? This time, the average crease depth is less than 30 micrometers. That puts us at a world-leading level of crease performance.
Over the past five-plus years, we have accumulated extensive expertise in foldable architecture. We believe that one day foldables will be as durable as traditional phones. Now let's look at a tech video about our foldable.

Let's talk about Xiaomi EV. On July 30, we held the Xiaomi EV technology launch event. In the five years since Xiaomi began building cars, this was only the second time we systematically shared our latest technological achievements. At that event, we unveiled the Xiaomi technology architecture along with the Xiaomi Sky Nomad series built on this architecture. And as we wrapped up, I remember I couldn't help saying something I was incredibly proud of in English: "Only Sky Nomad can do." Why did I say so? Because with the Sky Nomad, many of its features are things we pioneered ourselves, and there are many scenarios that truly only the Sky Nomad can handle. The Xiaomi Sky Nomad is not simply a family car, a business vehicle, or a camping vehicle. We designed it as a home on wheels. Last time we unveiled the first model, the N90, and today we're officially launching the second model, N70, a mid-to-large-size five-seat extended-range SUV.
It's 5 meters long, 2 meters wide, with a wheelbase of approximately 3 meters. Its dimensions are similar to the L6 or M7. This is a mainstream SUV. The size is just right. It's easy to drive and it's incredibly comfortable to ride in. We've adopted the classic proportions of a luxury SUV: a short front overhang and a long rear overhang giving it a confident and substantial stance. From the side, the proportions and posture look younger and more dynamic. The D-pillar slopes forward with a subtle fastback-style roofline. The lines flow smoothly, creating a powerful sense of forward motion.
It features Xiaomi's signature family design language: dragonfly headlights, halo taillights, frameless side mirrors, and a pebble-shaped LiDAR. The dragonfly headlights have a maximum illumination range of 624 meters with a low-beam illumination angle of up to 180 degrees. What does this do? What's most impressive about the N70 is its space. Let's look at its space: a large five-seat SUV with a full five-meter body. And speaking of safety, we know that we attach great importance to safety. The N70 has been designed to meet the industry's highest safety standards: armored cage body, with high-strength steel and aluminum alloy accounting for 91.3% of the body structure. This gives us an excellent balance between overall body strength and lightweight construction. This indicator means that we try to balance these two parameters, and this increases the cost, but we still did it: 91.3%.
We also used 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel reinforced at 14 critical locations. We also employ advanced high-strength structural designs, including an integrated roll cage and one-piece hot-formed door rings. The N70 comes standard with nine airbags and nine collision sensors. So the strength of the structure is quite high. Both male and female crash test dummies are used to validate occupant protection across all seating positions.

We commissioned the China Automotive Technology and Research Center to conduct extreme testing on the Xiaomi battery. How extreme is it? First, we conducted a 500-joule impact to the bottom side. Talking about battery warranty, Xiaomi provides an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer long-term warranty covering the range extender and the complete three-electric systems. The Dragon Armor battery also comes with an enhanced protection program. In the event of spontaneous combustion caused by original factory battery defects, customers will receive a brand-new vehicle of identical configuration. Second, for battery fire incidents triggered by collision or underbody contact, Xiaomi will compensate for the gap beyond the insurance payout ceiling.

Now it comes to a topic that we are most interested in. Everybody hoped N70 would start below 200,000 RMB; however, cost does not permit it. Therefore, the base trim will not be offered for launch. Let's take a look at the Pro variant. N70 Pro is a large five-seater range-extended SUV.
Again, let me sum up the highlights. Across the lineup, there are four strengths: First, class-leading interior space with intelligent controllability.
