It was Romero and Ignot, and performance of the night went to Hot Rod and Ruiz. Who's got the first question? What could you possibly want to ask me?
Nobody. Hey, you've been attached to some of the promotional material ahead of the upcoming big fight in Cardiff between Anthony Joshua and Fury. What's your role in the event and what's your thoughts on it being in Cardiff?
Have I not answered this question 257,000 times? Same as it was yesterday and the day before and the day before that.
Three Zuffa shows in the UK in one year now. Can we see similar for UFC?
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Obviously, you know, I've been invested in the UK since 2002, and you know, with everything heating up now with boxing, and yeah, I want to build a PPV here too.
Any plans on expansion with bigger signings in the British domestic scene here in boxing?
Any plans on expansion with bigger signings in the British domestic scene here in... What do you mean? Like any bigger names coming through? I want all the big names.
Hey, Dana. What did you make of Johnny Fischer's performance today? And why did you sign him to Zuffa for boxing?
Obviously a dominant performance by him. He got tired in the last three rounds, but yeah, dominant performance.
How is Johnny after that? He looked exhausted at the end.
Yeah, I agree. He looked exhausted. I haven't seen him or talked to him, but looked okay.
What's the plan for Johnny now? Are you looking at more international opponents or are you thinking of keeping it domestic? It's a very busy scene here in the UK.
Yeah, provided he's 100% healthy, turn him around and come back here quick.
I know you don't like making fights at the fights, but Dillian Whyte was just on Sky saying that he would love to fight Johnny, and you know, wait and see about signing for Zuffa. Can you give us any update on that?
Yeah, and you're right. I mean, he just finished, so I don't have any specific plans for him right now other than we want to bring him back to the UK.
And just lastly, the whole country rejoiced when that fight was announced this week. But last night and overnight, it feels like the fight might not be happening. As you sit here now, is that fight going to happen in December?
That I don't know. That I don't know.
Could you give us a percentage on how you feel on that fight?
Oh, percentage. Well, the guy who's supposed to be helping the fight has been hurting the fight the entire time. He hasn't done the fight any favors, let's put it that way. But we'll see.
Dana, just down here. Matt Skellman said on the broadcast tonight that you won't be working the fight as a promoter, but you'll be helping Turki Alalshikh on, I think he said, on a personal level.
Yeah, I don't know where that came from. Yeah, that was weird.
Because Eddie Hearn's been quite consistent in saying that there's a clause in...
Eddie Hearn says lots of things.
He does indeed, but he says that there's a clause in the contract that says no Zuffa, no TKO, no Dana White. You've always been quite consistent in the past if a fighter has a contract, you won't mess with them. Were you aware of this contract or that detail in AJ's contract?
Yeah. Am I trying to sign Anthony Joshua? I don't know. Have you seen anywhere anybody reporting that I've tried to sign Anthony Joshua?
I suppose he's saying it's not about signing him. It's just about being involved in the fight. He said it can't have any outside involvement from anyone else. Were you aware of this? Is this new?
We're promoting the fight right now.
But that's what he's trying to contest.
And what I've said 150,000 times, I don't know if I've ever known anybody who's more full of [__] [__] than Eddie Hearn. I'm done. I don't know if [__] when, who, whatever. This guy is full of [__] [__]. I've been saying the same thing since way back when, and here we are.
But if your involvement hinges on the fight happening or not, would you be willing to step back and just say, 'You guys sort it out yourselves'?
Well, that's not up to me. That's not up to me. I'm involved in the [__] fight.
I don't know. I don't know.
Is it... you're... I know what you're doing. You're leading the question. You [__] know.
No, I don't know anything.
Oh, really? Did you just get here? Hi, welcome to boxing. What did you just [__] walk in from across the street with your cell phone and you don't know anything about this sport or what's going on and who the [__] are you and how'd you end up in this? No one in this room seems to know what's going on with the fight and who's involved and...
Oh, you have any other questions that are relevant to this evening or anything else?
Conor Benn was ringside tonight. Did you manage to catch up with him?
Yeah, great. He's going to [__] chill out, relax, enjoy his family, and when he starts thinking about boxing again, he'll call us.
Thank you. Down here. What's your message to fans who would have booked hotels on the assumption this fight was announced for December 11th and now we're hearing that it might not happen?
I don't know. We'll see how this thing plays out. Listen, Eddie Hearn will probably do 652,000 interviews in the next three hours, so I'm sure he'll answer a lot of those questions for you.
You said there was more money if this fight went to New York. So why did it end up in Cardiff?
Well, if Eddie Hearn really cared about this [__] fight, first of all, the fight would have happened [__] a long time ago. Number one. Number two, he could finance the thing himself. I mean, I've said this a million times. Finance the fight yourself. [__] sell tickets, cut a TV deal, and sell the fight.
Hi there, Dana, over here. Ever since Zuffa Boxing started, you've repeated this phrase: judge us on our body of work at the end of the year. We're in September at the moment, going into October. We've had 11 shows with the 12th being announced. So far, so good in my eyes. How many more shows do you think we can get before the end of the year?
That's a good question. Finally. Finally a good question. I don't know, Harrison. What do you think, Harrison? How many shows by the end of the year do you think we knock out?
