And our guest today used the whole 80 years to work for me. I paid the salary and I fed him from 1999 to 2007. Please.
Hello guys. Will Beu be able to look at Mr. Aliko Dangote in his eyes and introduce him awkwardly to fans like he used to do? [music] He's known for always roasting and savaging his guests on his show throughout the whole duration. Will this interview end well? Aliko Dangote is another kind of person, just too different from everyone he has interviewed on his platform, and one will be wondering how some silly question will even sound the ears of the richest man in Africa, though it will be so interesting to watch.
Nigerian content creator Adibay Reidwan, popularly known as Bayubi, has invited billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote to appear on his YouTube show, Curiosity Made Me Act. Beu made the invitation on Monday during a visit to Dangote Refinery in Lagos while asking Dangote a question about his media appearances and the need to engage younger Nigerians who are interested in his business and the planned investment in his company.
The content creator noted that many of Dangote's interviews had been on platforms that younger audiences might not typically watch, despite their interest in investing in his business and participating in the company's initial public offering. "Most of the interviews we have seen you have been on platforms that my generation don't watch," Beu said. He added that young Nigerians were interested in investing in Dangote's company and wanted to give him a platform to reach a wider audience. "I'm not saying you should sack your media team, no, but you know when you finish," he said, before asking when the billionaire would appear on his show.
Responding to the invitation, Dangote said young people represented the future and that the older generation needs to share. "Honestly, the future that we have is actually you, the youth. We, our own generation, really, we have not really done very well for Nigeria and also for Africa. That's the truth," he said. He said there was a need for conversation between the older and younger generations to share experiences and discuss the country's development. "So we need to sit down with some of you and discuss our own experience with you," he added.
The businessman noted that many young Nigerians had limited knowledge of some of the country's past political leaders and historical experiences. He cited former president Shehu Shagari as an example, saying younger Nigerians might know more about Obasanjo because he returned to power. Beu interjected, saying, "Thanks to me, I gave him the platform, sir," apparently referring to his own interview with Dangote. Dangote agreed that younger audiences were an important group for him to engage with.
Such a development, Beu's "Curiosity Made Me Ask" could turn out to be one of the biggest shows on YouTube, just like he always claims. He has interviewed most of the big celebrities in Nigeria, ranging from footballers, musicians, and actors. He has also interviewed one of the greatest politicians in Nigeria, former president Shehu Shagari, on his show. Now he's interviewing the biggest and the richest businessman in Africa on his show. Interviewing him isn't a problem, but the savage, the criticism that will follow the whole process is the problem.
Though that is what makes his show so unique and interesting. But will the big man, Aliko, understand that? People might want to argue that he did roast former president Obasanjo on his show. Everyone should know that the former president has his entertaining side. Even while he was still the head of state, he can easily blend and understand Beu's kind of interview pattern. One will be wondering if they will let Mr. Aliko Dangote understand what it takes to be in the show. Curiosity Made Me Ask.
Beu never gave up, even when his acting career wasn't good enough for him to remain at the top. It was kind of a decline for him. He chose another route, going into comedy skits, but that also wasn't working for him. Being the son of a veteran actor, people were thinking he would just stroll into Nollywood easily, but that wasn't the case. He tried to think outside the box as he carved himself a rare and special niche which he dominates. If he finally pulls this one with Aliko Dangote, then he might have the biggest platform in Nigeria to promote any of your business.
So guys, do you think Beu has finally arrived and has made his show the biggest show on YouTube as a Nigerian? Please leave your thoughts in the comment section, and thanks for watching.
Um, you don't have to stand up. I think that is fine. Uh [laughter] um, I'm Awan, popularly, I mean, popularly known as Beu Barbie. Um, I have just one question, but it's a very long one, so I'll just quickly read it out. Thank you very much, sir. Um, Mr. Most of the interviews we've seen you have been on platforms that my generation don't watch.
I don't want to mention names so they will not sue me.
