During remarks, he stated that the AI era cannot be opened by any single company or country, calling for global cooperation across AI models, semiconductors, data centers, and power infrastructure. He described South Korea as positioned to serve as an AI hub and expressed support for building the country around AI over the next 10 to 20 years. He also discussed collaboration with Broadcom on next-generation AI infrastructure and high-performance AI solutions, saying partnerships would extend beyond accelerators and networking. At The Korea Society’s annual gala in New York on September 28, 2026, Lee congratulated NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on receiving the Van Fleet Award. He noted that his late father received the same award 20 years earlier. Lee said he and Huang share three commonalities: their companies are focused on AI, they both have daughters named Madison, and they both love the Galaxy Z Fold. He recalled first meeting Huang at CES about 25 years ago and described him as a dreamer with the courage to pursue his ambitions, adding that Huang had told him he hopes to die on the job.
