Ladies and gentlemen, we have our chairman. Of course, after this interview we will have the presentation of the Lamborghini Temerario, which is the Asian premiere. But now, before the presentation, you can already ask about anything else other than the Temerario, maybe, or the strategy. As chairman, Mr. Winkelmann can answer kind of everything.
Yeah, my question is, why did you decide to do activities on social media, particularly on LinkedIn?
You mean LinkedIn? Yes, but this is something we have been doing for years now, and we opted, together with Tim, who is more of an expert than myself on social media, to have, let's say, this LinkedIn page for me, and we are using it quite well, in my opinion. But this is only one channel. I'm not on Instagram, I'm not on X or other social media, because we think that this one is enough, and this is, let's say, the most linked to our profession, to being an OEM. On the other hand, we are very active, let's say, on the so-called established media channels, and this is where we always continue to do.
What is the secret? You've been doing it as a CEO for a long time. What's the secret? Because in 2015 you were a CEO, now you're a CEO...
2005. Yeah, 20 years now. But the point for me is that you have to have the right team, and you have to constantly work on yourself, on the company, and never take for granted that what you did until today is valid also for tomorrow.
With the re-election of U.S. President Trump for a second term, there is a possibility of change in U.S. trade policies, as you already know. Does Lamborghini have any contingency plans to adjust its electrification strategy?
In response to such potential challenges, our strategy is rock solid because we have now established a full hybridization of the entire lineup. We decided to go ahead with these hybrid cars as long as possible; only by the end of the decade will we add a full electric car, and this is something which we already planned, so we will not change this. A worldwide trend is that the BEV trend is flattening; it will take more time, and this is for sure also something which we have to take into consideration. But as I said, we already took this into consideration for our brand, that we are not going to be the first ones to adopt the BEV technology. So I don't see now any reason why to change it, also because all the cars that we have are now, let's say, in production or will start production very soon, so they're very young, and this is the best lineup we've ever had. And I think that this is not in contradiction with the new presidency.
So regarding Lamborghini's electrification strategy, when can we expect the launch of an electric sports car?
100% by the end of the decade. We are saying we have today two supercars, Revuelto and Temerario, then we have the Urus, and all these are hybrid. We will keep them hybrid as long as possible, and we will add a fourth model, which will be a GT 2+2 car with more ground clearance. We think that this is a new model, and as an add-on, this will then be the first full electric car, and this will come by 2030.
What are your projections for the market next year?
But you know, after COVID the market came back and was even stronger than before COVID pretty soon. This was something which was unexpected for all the manufacturers. We always thought that this could not be an endless trend, so we were always very cautious in terms of balance now between having an order bank and having high residual values, also in Korea. And therefore now we see that there is a flattening of this curve, but we still see for us a market which is strong also in 2025.
Is Lamborghini considering the development of an additional high-performance SUV that could contribute to volume?
