Aaron Parnas reported that Donald Trump threatened reporters in the Oval Office, telling Andrew Feinberg of The Independent to 'be careful,' which Parnas compared to authoritarian leaders. He noted that a California voter fraud sweep caught a registered Republican, undermining Trump's claims about non-citizen voting. Parnas discussed Trump's $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC, where the BBC wants Jack Smith to testify, and a federal judge warned Trump of sanctions for not participating. He covered the Ohio governor's race, where Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother backfired, shifting the race from toss-up to lean Democrat. Parnas read statements from Acton's brother and Acton herself, condemning the ad as exploiting her childhood abuse. He concluded that the ad weaponized her trauma and drew mass outrage.

Donald Trump is snapping at reporters in the Oval Office this afternoon, threatening to potentially jail them for asking him questions. And it comes as an afternoon of losses are piling up, or scandals in Ohio. Vivek Ramaswamy, the Ohio Republican candidate for governor, is facing immense backlash for a new ad released about his opponent, Dr. Amy Acton — an ad that his own team is privately admitting should not have been aired. In the courts, Jack Smith is haunting the president in a way, as the BBC is now urging Jack Smith to testify in the $10 billion lawsuit Trump brought against the BBC, and Trump desperately does not want that to happen. Lots of stuff is happening right now. I'm doing a deep dive into the Trump-Russia connections as we speak. Make sure if you can subscribe, support this work, like, comment, share, and let's jump right in, because the president today is not happy. He's not happy that reporters continue to ask him questions about Ohio, his own court cases, the surge in early voting we're seeing across the country. And so, he's snapping. He's lashing out at them. Take a look.
The reporter he's talking to is Andrew Feinberg from The Independent. Mind you, Andrew Feinberg previously told the president exactly who he is, but quote, 'You better be careful.' A lot of people quickly commented, noting that that's the president making a remark that you would hear from someone like Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping or authoritarian leaders across the world who want to limit press freedom. It happens on the day that Donald Trump's voter fraud allegations are somewhat falling apart. Trump has repeatedly claimed that Democrats are cheating by allowing non-citizens to vote. But yesterday, there was a massive voter fraud sweep in California. The primary person that they caught happens to be a registered Republican, undermining many of Trump's prior public claims. But even setting that aside, based on what I understand from folks on the ground as part of this voter fraud sweep, many of the people that were picked up were never actually even registered to vote. They don't know how they were registered. They claimed they were never registered in the first place. And so the question is, who are they actually targeting and why? In the courts, the president is facing immense pushback in the BBC lawsuit that he brought. Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against the BBC for $10 billion. Now, the BBC says, 'We want Jack Smith to testify under oath.' Jack Smith says, 'I'm ready to do so.' Donald Trump, meanwhile, doesn't want that happening and is pushing back. The $10 billion lawsuit focuses on January 6, 2021, the insurrection, and the president's mindset on January 6, 2021. Who better to talk about what the president was thinking other than the president himself than Jack Smith, the man who spent years investigating the president of the United States and his mindset, his intent on January 6th? Now, no one forced, as the BBC notes, Donald Trump to file this lawsuit and to dispute that his speech on January 6th incited the violence that followed at the Capitol. But quote, 'As long as he chooses to maintain the case, he cannot commit the fundamental injustice of preventing the BBC from obtaining the evidence it needs to robustly defend itself on every element of his claim, including the burden to prove falsity.' And now, a federal judge is warning Donald Trump that he could face sanctions for failing to participate in the lawsuit. The magistrate judge said in a court order that she has already admonished Trump for his lack of participation in the $10 billion lawsuit against the UK's public service broadcaster. And so the question remains: is the president happy that this is continuing? The answer is probably not. Meanwhile, an Ohio race is becoming closer. Ohio's governor race: Vivek Ramaswamy is down against Amy Acton. And the race shifted today from toss-up to lean Democrat, and it's all because of a self-inflicted wound. Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign released a new ad featuring the mother of Amy Acton. I'm going to show you this ad not because many people need to see it, but because it's already on air and it highlights exactly — you're going to see what the problem is with this ad. Now, this ad is featuring Amy Acton's mother, by the way, who has been estranged from Amy Acton since she was 12 years old after Amy Acton suffered horrific abuse. Take a look at this ad.
