I love how grimy the static is.
What I do is I use a picture. Yeah. You know, and there's a saturation built in to get it into that. They took analog pieces and really worked really hard to get it to give it this.
All right, so it's not like Pro Tools or just try to chase a bunch of people. They said, 'No, they do it because they love to do it and they want you to have the best stock plugins.' And now you don't worry about finding a bunch of different plugins. There's so many great stock, like the EQs, the compressors. They're all emulated from like Neve 1073s and...
Yes.
Come on in. So are you here or what? Uh no, I came up for this program. We launched out of the music hall here.
With the trust? Yes. I did it as a volunteer. This is supposed to be a new thing. I never got the chance.
So I started off with the NHS and then took a few years break, moved on to explore and then an art program and I've got a lot of art that I've done.
Well thanks for this past few days. Well this is crazy. [laughter] Now he's checking it off. Absolutely.
Um I joined the King's Trust. I've been to work with the King's Trust with their little programs before. Good. And then they've hardly done this before.
Um so has it helped so far? Has it made a difference? So have you got a particular interest in a particular part of the music?
Yeah, I'm into producing. I'm a writer and a rapper. Uh and a rapper? Yes. Fantastic.
She actually finished the song. Sky, I don't know if we want to play it for His Majesty. Wow. Yeah, this might be a special moment. She brought her own hard drive. Yeah, she worked very quickly. She brought her hard drive and finished her vocals in the room last night.
Really? The first time she's ever worked on this project. What is she talking about in the morning? [laughter] Let's go ahead and listen to a little bit, Sky.
[music and singing] I'm just out here trying to grind. I'm just out here trying to make it. I want to make my life a plan.
I don't know what I want to do with the faces. People trying to get my shine. My happiness no one can take it. You won't ever stop my grind. [music] I'm not going to stop till I make it. I'm just out here doing my thing. I'm a princess I'mma need my king. But my princess is my queen.
My princess is my queen.
Make some noise for Princess Sky. [applause] She had no idea you were coming.
Could you squeeze the words you've got in really clever, haven't you? So are you well pardoned? All right. I mean done to you tonight. So you just... You here for two days? Yeah.
So I'm interrupting all the important [laughter] things you should be learning. But you enjoy it so far? Oh, definitely. Is it easy being very good as a mentor? He's checking up on me. Oh no, I'm so nervous.
So where's home for you both? London. So you're rushing back and encourage others to see the planet the way... I've [laughter] been painting for nobody else. So good. Are you doing music? 1000%.
She's been excellent the entire time showing us all of it. Yeah. Oh, you happy they helped you with digital skills? Oh, yeah. This is the first time I've used an iPad. First time I made beats yesterday. So they did help. Fantastic. It's been amazing.
Did they help you make these things work? Sometimes.
The Microsoft but unfortunately there was the layoffs worldwide. Uh so then I came to the King's Trust through their enterprise system to set up my own clothing line, but kind of saw that I needed a better capital, so I decided to do the music. Did that course, stuck to it, and then now I'm here. So then need to get the capital for it.
But this is going well. Yes, it's massively going well. You made some incredible like boom bap style music. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. I'm so glad that you found your track. Thanks very much.
Just a day planner. So they dragged you in from somewhere. No. [clears throat] So I came voluntarily. So you've done that. Two days now. Yeah. That's why I did get some more days to have another mentoring session.
We're going to finish out the day. We've got some incredible things. We've got a performer downstairs. You're going to see them. I'm going to take them up to a specialized room and show them spatial audio.
And your majesty, ladies and gentlemen, up here, please. Uh Sky and the next... Can we just move Sky to... Oh, I see. Yeah.
Thank you. And we're looking up the gallery. Can we hold that down, please? This way, sir. If you wouldn't mind up the gallery. Okay.
Probably the television times up there for [laughter] a while. And media, when you're happy. It's okay. All right. Where do we need to go for now? Okay. What exactly...
