Aaron Parnas reported on Elon Musk's $276 million political spending and House Democrats' plans to investigate him if they take control, citing his DOGE role cutting 250,000 federal jobs and federal contracts. He covered Trump's heckling in Kansas, noting his private frustration and public dismissal of protesters as 'paid.' Early voting data shows Democratic surges in Texas and North Carolina, with Parnas highlighting James Talarico's lead over Ken Paxton. He condemned Trump's comment that Russia has been 'fine on Ukraine,' contrasting it with a Russian drone strike killing a one-year-old girl in Kharkiv. Parnas reported The Washington Post's claim that Patriot interceptor missiles were being held up and quoted Kirill Dmitriev celebrating European weakness.
Key takeaways
Musk donated $276 million to Republicans, making him a top Democratic investigative target if they take the House.
DOGE cut an estimated 250,000 federal jobs, raising questions about Musk's federal contracts.
Dallas County and Harris County broke early voting records, with Talarico leading Paxton by two points.
Trump privately told advisers he wants Americans to stop protesting, calling it 'gone too far.'
Patriot interceptor missiles for Ukraine are being held up by the Trump administration, per The Washington Post.
Elon Musk spent $276 million trying to keep Republicans in power. Now, Democrats say he is target number one if they take back the House of Representatives. And it comes as the president is furious. He's being heckled at his own rallies in states he won three times, while early voting numbers show Democrats surging across the country. The president is urging Americans to stop protesting him this morning. And it comes while a Russian drone killed a one-year-old girl in her stroller, at the same time that the president of the United States told reporters that Russia has been, quote, fine on Ukraine.
Now, here's the thing. This issue is urgent and the Ukrainian people are suffering. It's not an abstract issue. It's why I've decided I'm going to do a deep dive outlining all of the president's ties to Russia and Russian officials. It'll be out soon. You do not want to miss it. Let's start with Elon Musk, because Elon Musk is at the top of the list for investigations. Politico has confirmed that House Democrats are preparing to make Musk one of their top investigative targets if they take control of the House of Representatives next month. And there's a lot to look at. Musk is the single biggest known Republican donor of the midterm cycle, arguably one of the biggest in history, donating $276 million and counting to various Republican committees and candidates across the country. He ran the Department of Government Efficiency, which cut an estimated 250,000 federal jobs. His companies hold billions of dollars in federal contracts, including SpaceX deals with NASA, and there are serious questions about his possible role in throttling the satellite internet Ukraine's military relies on.
Congressman Greg Casar of Texas said Democrats should absolutely investigate how Musk is trying to buy his way into billions of dollars more in federal government money. His line is simple: it takes two to tango. A spokesperson for Congressman Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, says that they have a lot of questions about DOGE. Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove summed it up in three words: bring it all on. Here's what matters. Musk is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to make sure none of this ever gets investigated. That's exactly what's at stake in the final two weeks of this election, and Trump knows it.
Last night in Park City, Kansas, Trump was heckled numerous times. This is now happening in rally after rally in red states and blue states, but red states that should be safe for Republicans. Trump lost it, calling protesters straight-up idiots.
than we do, and voters that we do when I'm not. So please pretend I'm on the ballot, and I am actually, if you know what he is.
They're paid protesters. They're paid protesters.
Paid protesters.
And I always say now he goes home to mom and dad. They slap him around. They say, 'I voted for that man. They voted for me.'
No, you know, they're paid. They're paid protesters. Every once in a while, you know, you see some, and it's actually very dangerous to be at. Oh, here's another one. Listen to that one. I can tell by the voice they get paid. They get paid.
How great is it to be at a Trump rally?
