We have breaking news at this hour. Karoline Leavitt has lasted just five days in her role as Donald Trump's White House press secretary. She has been canned. She has been fired. She will be, quote, transitioning out of her role as White House press secretary just days after replacing Caroline Levitt in the role. A stunning fall from grace for Karoline Leavitt, who lasts less than half of a Scaramucci. I'm serious. It's only been five days since Karoline Leavitt took the role as White House press secretary, and just days later she is gone. Donald Trump said that he told her to reconsider this role. He told her that he wants to put her in a more pleasant role, and now she is gone. She has been fired, and soon House Republicans may be fired as well. I speak with Blake Gendine, who's running for Congress in one of the toughest districts in upstate New York, but a district that Democrats think they can win. Make sure to subscribe. I'm getting you this news first in real time. We're on the road to a million subscribers. Like, comment, share, and let's talk about Karoline Leavitt, because White House officials have told Fox News that she has been canned. She will be transitioning out of the White House press secretary role, just days after she started. It was quick. It was done. She's gone. A senior White House official tells Fox News that she is transitioning out of her role. If you want to look at the Trump job survival chart of how long they have lasted, Anthony Scaramucci lasted 11 days in his role as White House communications director. Karoline Leavitt lasted just less than half of a Scaramucci, just five days. Vivek Ramaswamy has lasted zero, when he was co-chair of DOGE. Donald Trump leaving the White House today signaled that he may actually be considering replacing her. Take a listen to what he had to say.
Are you saying you're considering a new role for her?
What I'm doing is, I said when I get back, we're going to talk, because I don't think that Karoline should be made to suffer like she's suffering at the hands of the press. So I will talk to her as soon as I get back.
He said he's going to talk to her when he gets back. He's on his way to a campaign rally right now. And when asked whether she would remain in her role or in a different role in this administration, here's what he had to say.
And maybe a more pleasant... I'll have everybody else on your list for potential press secretary. A lot of people want the job. I'll bet you'd want it if I offered it to you. But a lot of people would want that job. But I just think the press would be very tough on Karoline, and I said there's no reason for you to have to do it. You got a beautiful family, fantastic husband.
He says there's no reason she has to go through this. He says that the press has been very bad to Karoline Leavitt. And well, he says she's going to remain likely in the administration in a, quote, more pleasant role, although that has not been confirmed by anyone just yet. So she is done. She is transitioning out, lasting just five days in the Trump White House. I speak with Blake Gendine, who may be ousting another Republican soon. Make sure to subscribe, like, comment, share my conversation with Blake. Excited today to be joined by Blake Gendine, who's running for Congress in New York's 21st Congressional District. Blake, I have known you for a while now. Did you ever think that we'd be in this position two weeks before Election Day with this election so close as it is?
Well, we did this because we knew we could win, and we knew that we'd been underrepresented in rural America. I'm born and raised right here in the district, in the St. Lawrence Valley. And what my friends and neighbors are concerned with is high cost of diesel and heating oil, and we want to make sure that we can afford to live here and have quality health care. That's why we're winning. And of course, I have uniquely the worst opponent in the country, I think, as well.
Now, this district was Elise Stefanik's previous district. She's no longer going to be in Congress, but it was redistricted a bit. The lines did change a bit. It's still a pretty conservative district. Why do you think you can flip it blue?
Right. Well, if you want somebody that's going to fix the relationship with Ontario and Quebec, because we have a large northern border with our best friends to the north, my campaign is for you. If you want somebody that's going to lower costs from the farm gate to the dinner plate, as a dairy farmer in the district, I know how that works. There are things we can do. My campaign is for you. And if you want somebody that's going to save rural health care, we've got two hospitals that just filed for bankruptcy, another five are at risk after the Medicaid cuts. My campaign is for you. And this isn't a red or blue issue. These are upstate New York and North Country issues.
If people don't know who you are, what do you say when people say, "Who's Blake Gendine?"
I'm a different kind of Democrat. I am a dairy farmer. My wife and I milk 500 cows. We farm 12,200 acres. I'm a supporter of the Second Amendment. My wife and I both have pistol permits. Responsible gun ownership is part of northern New York and North Country culture. And I'm a basketball coach — JV high school basketball coach, varsity assistant coach, school board president. I've been elected by farmers on both sides of the aisle to be the vice chairman of the board of a $1 billion dairy cooperative that owns the flagship brand Cabot Cheese, which I hope everybody knows and loves. This is about making sure that we have opportunities in New York's 21st district. And we have been underrepresented. Congresswoman Stefanik has not been here since 2025, and she's in the 98th percentile for not voting. We basically are underrepresented or not represented at all.
You mentioned earlier in this conversation the need for lower prices when it comes to electricity, utilities, but also heating oil, because we are entering — winter is coming, as they say — it is getting cold. How are residents reacting right now to the high costs to literally heat their homes?
