Aaron Parnas reported that Karoline Leavitt, Donald Trump's new press secretary, faces a bar complaint in California filed by a non-partisan watchdog group. Parnas read the complaint, which alleges Leavitt received a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2011, purchased a home in Thousand Oaks, California for $2.175 million in August 2021, and has never been admitted to practice law in any state, including California. The complaint requests investigation into whether she violated California Business and Professional Code sections 6125 and 6126. Parnas noted Leavitt described herself as a lawyer on national television, claimed to be outside counsel to the World Bank and International Finance Corporation, and held the title of general counsel of a California-based nonprofit from January 2024 to March 2025. Parnas played a clip of Leavitt saying she practiced corporate law in Beijing, China. He emphasized that unauthorized practice of law in California is serious and could involve criminal penalties. Parnas also reported President Trump's comments that leakers should be shot.

Donald Trump's new press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, is in some big legal trouble. She has been hit with a bar complaint in the state of California just hours after becoming Donald Trump's press secretary. It's almost like you enter the White House or you enter the president's orbit and then legal troubles follow. Well, if you want to know what these legal troubles are for, it's because the president of the United States had dubbed Karoline Leavitt to be a lawyer, to be an attorney. She herself, we have video footage I'm going to show you, claimed that she was a lawyer, that she was practicing corporate law. Well, the truth is, folks, she may have violated California law and she could be in big legal jeopardy, potentially even violating a criminal offense, facing potential jail time. We're going to talk about that momentarily. I have the complaint for you. I have it all for you. Make sure to subscribe, support this work as we're on the road to a million followers. Like, comment, share. Do that together and let's spread the word today.
A bar complaint has been filed by a non-partisan watchdog group against Karoline Leavitt. I have the complaint. I'm going to read it with you because I think it's important to note, quote, "Ms. Leavitt received a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2011. She is reported to reside in California. In August 2021, she and her husband purchased a home in Thousand Oaks in Ventura County for $2.175 million. Following her White House appointment, she reportedly stated that her family planned to relocate from California to Washington D.C. On October 13, 2026, Popular Information reported it had searched the attorney licensing records of all 50 states and the District of Columbia, including the State Bar of California, and found no record that Ms. Leavitt has ever been admitted to practice law. As Mediaite observed, State Bar directories typically retain records of inactive, suspended, and disbarred attorneys. So, the absence of any listing suggests Ms. Leavitt was never admitted at all. A law degree, standing alone, does not entitle holder to practice law. When the White House was asked whether Ms. Leavitt has ever been admitted to the bar, its press office responded only by referring the reporter to President Trump's post announcing her appointment, which described her as an attorney. That is significant."
See, here's the thing. If you look my name up on the Florida State Bar website, you will see that I am licensed to practice law. I made that license inactive. If I wanted to, I can make it active tomorrow and once again get in a courtroom, but I passed the bar exam. And I am licensed. I have a license. Even when you're inactive, it still shows up, and it shows up as inactive. For Karoline Leavitt though, there is no mention ever, anywhere, that she had ever passed the bar, because it looks like she hadn't. And the complaint is significant. The complaint respectfully requests that the State Bar of California investigate whether she violated section 6125 and 6126 of the California Business and Professional Code. Ms. Leavitt, a California resident, and the newly appointed White House press secretary, has for more than a year described herself on national television and in podcasts as a lawyer, having claimed to serve as outside counsel to the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, and held the title of general counsel of a California-based nonprofit organization. Yet, according to published reporting, she's never been practicing law anywhere, anywhere. And well, when they look at it, on multiple occasions, she claimed that she was general counsel to a California-based nonprofit, from January 2024 to March 2025. She also repeatedly made public claims, claiming that she's, 'I'm a lawyer. As a lawyer, the procedural steps are absolutely critical. I'm a lawyer, I went to Pepperdine Law. As a lawyer, there's a big difference between answering something under oath and answering something to the media.' Here is the thing. She went to law school. Now, there's no record that she passed the bar exam. There's no record that she took the bar exam. You cannot pretend to be giving out legal advice to people when you didn't pass the bar. And we have her on video saying that she's a lawyer.
